Harnessing the forcefully abrasive technique of a sandblaster to craft deeply carved yet intricately detailed pattern, Lucy’s technique centers on precision and patience. Creating an unrivalled finish of crisp cut, deeply carved fine lines and textures on the finest hand-blown glass.

The process begins with a sketch, transferred onto vinyl sheet with a combination of hand and digital cutting. The soft flexible vinyl covers the glass, repelling the blasts of sand particles while any exposed areas simultaneously relent and recede layer by layer.

Small scale art glass vessels are engraved at Lucy’s private studio. Larger projects are produced with the support of a selection of architectural glass companies at their facilities, allowing Lucy to offer fully comprehensive service from personal design to expert installation.

Collaborations with some of the UK’s finest glass blowers, gilders, silversmiths and antique mirror specialists broaden the creative possibilities of bespoke and project based work.
